American rapper and Los Angeles native Ice Cube performed «Bow Down» and «It Was a Good Day» before Game 2. Pearle Peterson, a 19-year-old, sang the national anthem, accompanied by organist Dieter Ruehle. https://pdxneurosemantics.com/ Game 2 featured starting pitchers Yoshinobu Yamamoto for the Dodgers and Carlos Rodón for the Yankees. Matt Kemp and Andre Ethier threw out the ceremonial first pitch.
The two starters, Flaherty and Cole, kept the game scoreless through the first four innings. After Enrique Hernández hit a triple in the bottom of the fifth inning, he scored the game’s first run via a sacrifice fly by Will Smith. In the top of the sixth, Giancarlo Stanton hit a two-run home run after a Juan Soto walk, giving the Yankees a 2–1 lead and knocking Flaherty out of the game. Cole was removed from the game after giving up a leadoff single to Teoscar Hernández in the seventh. In the bottom of the eighth, Shohei Ohtani hit a ball off the top of the outfield wall and reached second base, but Juan Soto’s throw got away from second baseman Gleyber Torres, and Ohtani advanced to third base. The next batter, Mookie Betts, hit a sacrifice fly to score Ohtani and tie the game.
For the Dodgers, 2024 marked the World Series debuts of Ohtani, Yamamoto, T. Hernández, and Edman. Freddie Freeman and Will Smith made their second World Series appearances. Max Muncy, Mookie Betts, and Walker Buehler made their third World Series appearances. Freeman, Smith, Muncy, and Buehler were seeking their second World Series championships, with the former having won with the Braves in 2021 and the latter two having won with the Dodgers in 2020, while Betts was seeking his third World Series championship and the second with the Dodgers, having won with the Red Sox in 2018 and with the Dodgers in 2020. Dave Roberts, in his ninth year as a manager for the Dodgers, was seeking his second World Series championship as a manager, and third overall.

With this information currently available, Xbox’s «Smart Delivery» I am assuming (and hoping) that this game will also be available on last gen consoles alongside new gen consoles, this includes Xbox One and PS4. I do not have concrete evidence to prove this however, but Xbox’s «Smart Delivery» is systematically described as available for both generations of Xbox. As far as the «evidence» Saber Interactive Inc. has not come forward with extended details other than it’s availability on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and Steam.
Each dinosaur’s mesh data was based on models created by Stan Winston, followed by high resolution photographs being taken of the models to help create the game’s dinosaur graphics. Each of the game’s dinosaur models used a maximum of 1,500 polygons, a low number for the PlayStation 2. This allowed the game more polycounts for its large levels. During the final months of development, one of the last levels designed for the game was its aviary location, which was based on a scene in the film. The game utilized motion capture technology, which was overseen by Giant Studios. The game also utilized cinematic scenes, which were created by Tigar Hare Studios.
While the reveal trailer was primarily cinematic, it did include some pre-alpha footage, which is representative of the quality the studio is shooting to deliver. So, keeping that in mind, we are guessing that we’ll only see the game arrive sometime in mid-2025, as 2024 is almost over, and there has still been no new news. Stay tuned as we track updates.
Perry was impressed by the large size of the game’s dinosaurs and their «visually impressive» skin textures, although he wrote: «For the most part, the amount of detail was not quite staggering, but eye-opening to be sure». Perry concluded that while the game was still in a very early stage of development, «it shows many signs of promise. By straddling the line between free exploration and dinosaur hunting/avoidance, the game looks to provide a great need that Tomb Raider has long since left vacant. At the same time, gamers’ appetite for a good dinosaur game has never been quenched. Jurassic Park Survivor looks like it could very well make its mark in this next generation, and specifically on PlayStation 2 with this hybrid concept. I’m looking forward to it».
While we’ve only seen a little pre-alpha footage so far, the Jurassic Park: Survival gameplay experience looks intense. Saber is designing a single-player adventure game which focuses on stealth movement and action – and it doesn’t sound all that dissimilar to the sort of experience The Creative Assembly pushed for with Alien: Isolation. Given how destructive creatures like the Dilophosaurus, Velociraptor, and Tyrannosaurus Rex are – all of whom can be seen in the first trailer – there’s little use trying to fight head-on.
This marks the first-ever national baseball title for the Volunteers, who previously hadn’t been to the finals since 1951. Tennessee was the No. 1 overall seed heading into the tournament. This was the first time a top overall seed won it all since 1999, when Miami (Fla.) pulled it off.
Despite Tennessee’s effort to gain runs back in the final innings, Texas A&M’s massive third inning and lockdown defense sealed its Game 1 win, 9-5. The Aggies set the tone with a leadoff homer from Gavin Grahovac and didn’t let off the gas in the third, plating five with Kaeden Kent’s two-RBI single as the exclamation point. The Aggies did not err once defensively as the Vols racked up three errors, one resulting in an A&M RBI. Evan Aschenbeck secured the win, pitching 2.2 innings while striking out seven and allowing two hits and no walks.
Many of college baseball’s biggest stars fell short of the College World Series, including Georgia’s Charlie Condon and Oregon State’s Travis Bazzana. That means the must-watch player is on the team the fewest expected to make it to Omaha: Florida’s Jac Caglianone.
The Vols went up 6-1, highlighted by Hunter Ensley’s acrobatic slide to avoid Jackson Appel’s tag, before the Aggies scored four straight runs in the final two innings to cut the deficit to one. Tennessee closer Aaron Combs finished the job, striking out Ted Burton for the Tennessee victory.
The 2024 College World Series is an all-SEC/ACC affair. Only two conferences are represented by the field of eight, with each of the top three seeds coming out of the SEC but plenty of ACC title hopefuls waiting in the wings, as well.
